Welcome to EYFS!

Over the year the children will be learning lots of new and exciting things.

We want children to grow up to be confident learners and put a focus on the whole child. It is important for children to be independent and we promote this in all areas of school life. Children are encouraged to try new things independently or with a friend and then ask for help if they are still unsure. This supports their problem solving and perseverance skills which are invaluable throughout their learning journey.

Parents will be kept up to date with their children’s learning through regular letters. Please share your child’s learning with them at home through reading daily and completing home learning activities.

Most importantly we want children to come to school feeling happy and safe. We look forward to sharing your child’s learning journey with you.

EYFS home learning for 2017 Spring Term 2

We were very lucky in Early Years to have a visit from “The Living Eggs”. The children were able to watch as the eggs hatched in the incubator. Once the chicks had fluffed up the children prepared the brooder for the to live in.
