This term ‘Whitstable Bay Class’ have been settling into school as newly crowned Juniors, where the children were introduced to the new topics for this year. In addition, they’ve been getting to grips with writing in books for each of their subjects for the first time and having lots of fun too!

We are all looking forward to challenging ourselves this year and learning lots of exciting new facts to amaze our family and friends with! Feel free to browse our class web page to find out about the exciting adventures we are going to have throughout the year. We will be regularly posting pictures and class news updates to let you know all about what we are getting up to.

Home Learning has included weekly reading, spellings, and times tables and will also include a fun learning challenge at the end of each term. Children are also closely monitored on their daily reading at home through their reading records, where the class with highest percentage of daily home time readers will be awarded at the end of each week as a way of encouraging a better attitude to reading.

Just a reminder that children should bring their full PE kit at the start of the week and should take it home to be washed at the end of the week.

See you all soon,

Best Wishes

Mr Chambers (Class Teacher) and Mrs Baldwin (Teaching Assistant)
