Wildlife learning safari for St Gregory’s explorers

Pupils from St Gregory’s Catholic Primary School went on a “learning safari” to Wingham Wildlife Park to support their science studies on habitats.

During the trip, Key Stage 1 children took part in an educational workshop where they learned about animal habitats, adaptations, and the importance of protecting the environment. A key takeaway was the message to “leave no trace” and respect nature.

The visit also gave pupils the chance to see a wide range of animals - including lions, giraffes, and wolves - with capybaras being a particular favourite. Overall, the trip helped bring classroom learning to life through real-world experience.
